NEWS

August 18th, 2004
A lot of writing, and some recording has been done for the followup album, "Chapter I: Requiem and Regret". At this point, it is likely to only be one disc, although it may still expand to a 2CD release.

Some news about the album. It will likely be released spring of 2005, or perhaps winter of this year. Also, Laurie Ann Haus will do guest vocals on one track. Finally, some song titles are: "Flesh Turns To Ash", "Her Laughter, My Sorrow", "Scarred", "An Empty Ode", and "Silhouette Of Darkness". There is much more piano use on these tracks, in fact, there are at least three piano only pieces on this album. Don't worry though, the funeral doom is still present, perhaps even more so, in the other tracks.

Many of the orders have been sent out, and the rest will be sent soon, so to those that ordered, you should be getting your package in a while.

I've also added a press section to the site. There, I've posted 4 reviews of the 'abyssus abyssum invocat' demo.

The burner is co-operating, so I've started burning all of the bonus discs... obviously, this means I will be able to send out everyone's order soon.

March 26th, 2004
Work has begun on an MCD, which will be released before the next full length. The MCD has no title yet, but will feature two tracks, 'An Empty Ode', and 'Grief For Sorrow'. The latter, is a 10+ minute piano piece, similar to 'Silhouette of Darkness' (this track can be downloaded from the soundclick page, and will feature on the upcoming full length).

In other news, I'm having burner troubles, so to all who ordered the limited edition of 'Prologue: Memoria in Aeterna' from me, it will take me a while longer to get the bonus disc burned. I apologise for this, and I will try to do something to make up for the extra wait.

The new album, 'Prologue: Memoria in Aeterna' has been released on NOTHingness REcords. More releases are planned for 2004.

November 16th, 2003
The NOTHingness REcords release now has a final tracklist, and title. It will be called "Prologue: Memoria in Aeterna", and will feature two bonus tracks, which will not be available anywhere else. The tracklist is as follows:

1. Procession of Gods and Tyrants
2. Eternal, and Yours
3. The First Temptation
4. Tired One
5. ...Gdzie Nie Ma Drzew

The bonus tracks are "Tired One", and "...Gdzie Nie Ma Drzew". Both of these tracks are much slower than the first three, and feature longer, more ambient passages. The release should be out in December, and will be limited to 111 copies.

The site has been given a redesign. It has also been expanded to include more sections. The first release, can still be downloaded from the discography section.

Funerary Dirge have signed with NOTHingness REcords. They will be doing an official release of 'abyssus abyssum invocat'. More info to come.

Torture Wheel has been added to the band links. If you have a band page, and would like to trade links, please contact me.

Work is already underway for a Funerary Dirge full length release. The music for two tracks has already been recorded. The new tracks thus far, are much darker, and much more sinister than the older material. They are also much longer... 19 minutes, and 25 minutes, respectively. The working title for the new album is "Requiem and Regret". At this stage, it looks like the album will develop into a 2CD set... one entitled "Requiem", and the other "Regret". Once vocals have been added, I will likely put up an mp3 extract of one of the tracks.
