Formed in the summer of 2003, the project is influenced not so much by different styles of music, but more by raw emotion (though, Funerary Dirge has been compared to Thergothon, and Until Death Overtakes Me, for example). It is negativity, and the essence of misery, despair, and hoplessness, that drive the music. Minimalism, and dark, ambient soundscapes also play a big part. The goal is not grand orchestrations, but rather, to create quiet, sombre pieces, which stay with the listener long after the music has stopped.
